NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) is a standardized test that nurses need to pass in order to become a registered nurse (RN).
This licensure exam independently verifies your nursing knowledge and your ability to safely practice as a Registered Nurse. Every nurse before practicing nursing must obtain a RN license by passing NCLEX in the United States.
1. Application :
Apply for licensure/registration with your Nursing Board. Applications of the US-Educated nursing students usually get forwarded from their schools electronically. Internationally educated nurses on the other hand need to verify their credentials either through CGFNS or the State Nursing Board in order to get heir Authorization to test (ATT) numbers.
2.Registration:
Register and pay the exam fee online or by calling Pearson VUE NCLEX Candidate Services at 866.496.2539.
The candidates will receive Authorization to Test (ATT) email from Pearson VUE. You must schedule your exam within 90 days after receiving the ATT.
3.Test Fees :
Candidates Seeking U.S. Licensure and taking the exam in the U.S.- $200
Candidates Seeking U.S Licensure and taking the exam outside of U.S- $350
4. Scheduling :
There is no set date for NCLEX exam. The candidates must schedule their exam themselves online or by calling Pearson VUE NCLEX Candidate Services at 866.496.2539.
5. Results:
You may get your unofficial results within two days online, however the official results will arrive in the mail.
